What? Let's make it simple to be yourself.

Questions

Why do so many people try to find an acronym for something that should be so easy?
Shouldn’t you be able to be whatever you want to be and love who or maybe what you like to love?
Why is there a need to define categories for each and everything?

And why do some people feel the need to put themselves in a category „questioning“? Questioning what?
Questioning if they are female or male, something in between or totally different?
Questioning if they love men, women, both, nothing or maybe objects or just what they do?
Shouldn’t questioning be something you do for yourself and don’t need a category?

Shouldn’t it be possible to change your mind or your feelings whenever you want to, and just be as you are and as you feel comfortable with?

A stone or a banana?

If you want to be a stone, for example, you can. Does it make sense? Maybe not. But who cares?
If you aren’t a bad stone and don’t hurt anyone else, no one should judge you for that.
If you feel more comfortable as a stone, why should you be a banana?
You would probably be a risk in both cases if you lie in someone’s way.
Just being a banana, because it is more the taste of the others, doesn’t help you.
Be a stone, if you feel fine with it.
Maybe someone would kick you. It’s ok. Take it. Grow with it and become a rock!
If you were a banana, it would have hurt you more.

Maybe it is not always easy to be yourself and defend yourself for what you are, but it is a lot harder to try to be anything else and fit in another ones narrowed mind.

And what does it mean?

That does not mean, you have to like everyone or everything others do, and everyone has to like you or what you do.
There will always be something that is right for you, what is wrong for others and vice versa.
But if human would learn to accept each other as they are in all facets of life (sex, gender, religion, etc.), the world would be a much better place for all of us!

Sure, humans aren’t like that, and unfortunately some never will be.

But those LGB acronyms don’t help with it. They set one before the other and exclude the rest.
Ok, sometimes there’s a plus sign or a star for inclusion, but why name some and some not.
Shouldn’t be anyone part of it, in the same order and with the same state?

There is definitely a need for marginalized groups to stand out and get recognized as what they are:
The same as anyone else!
Not more, not less.

Just one letter!

But why adding more and more letters for marginalized groups to an acronym if you can just limit it to one simple letter that includes all of us?

In summary, there is no need for such long acronyms trying to include anyone. If you try to include anyone, you’ll always forget about someone, who doesn’t fit in.

A great example is the rainbow flag, which tries to visually include the diversity with rainbow colors, but it only displays a few of the colors we can see.
What is with the colors in between?
What is with the darkest black and the brightest white?
What is with the colors outside the visible spectrum?

There is so much more, we will never see or understand. We need to accept that.
There will always be something that does not fit in. So why not try to open up and expand our horizon instead?
Why not accept every human being as an individual identity?

Shouldn’t there be just one letter instead of that many in the acronym? Shouldn’t it be just „I“?
„I“ for individual identity!

In the case someone asks you what you are, you just need to say: I.
And this is how it should be. No need to explain who or what you love, who or what you are or would like to be.
Just one simple letter: „I“. That’s all.
